Dear Cheat and Cheat Elite,
-- If last week was intimidating, this should be anything but. We are looking at a high of 75 in Albright and a level below 2 feet. The canyon and water will still be chilly- wear a drytop! If you plan to run the Cheat this season, this is a good one to attend.
Like last week, we are meeting at 7 am at the Gaithersburg Park and Ride. Please try to carpool with others in your group, this will mean less traffic on the Cheat Road.
CHEAT ORIGINAL Please head straight to the put-in in Albright. Aim to get there at 10:15 to drop off boats and passengers and head down to the take out. You will be riding the big bus back up!
CHEAT ELITE Please drive straight to the take out, aiming to arrive about 10:30. We will have 2 vans with trailers to shuttle you back up. This will set us up for two runs tomorrow!
There are a few spaces left in Creeking on Sunday lead by Bobby Miller. They hope to run the Top Yough if the water holds. https://calleva.org/liquid-adventures-kayak/advanced/trips/wv-creekin/
Yough Training, the next step up from Cheat Training, is starting to fill. Join Bobby on Tuesday nights or Tom on Wednesdays for a slalom workout. Downrivers are Saturdays with both of them! https://calleva.org/liquid-adventures-kayak/advanced/trainings/upper-yough-training/
Let me know if you have questions about where to be-- See you tomorrow!
