While living in Ward 5 I've seen issues like displacement of seniors, high asthma rates in children because of the air quality, and unemployment tear at the fabric of our community.
As a long-time advocate in D.C., I organized and fought side by side with D.C. residents to remedy the realities that impacted Ward 5 residents, namely access to affordable childcare and environmental injustices.
When I am elected to the D.C. Council as an At Large Council Member, I promise to continue fighting right alongside the Ward 5 community on the issues you care about.
I will continue fighting to improve our neighborhood air quality, lower our energy bills by pushing DC towards a 100 percent clean energy city, while creating jobs in the clean energy sector, something I've done during my time as a board member of the D.C. Sierra Club.
I will continue fighting to ensure Ward 5 remains an affordable place for all families and seniors.
It's time to add a bold voice to the D.C. Council. If you would like to learn more about our campaign, I will be at Big Bear Cafe, 1700 1st St NW, Washington, DC 20001, this Saturday, April 28th from 1pm-2pm.
