Subject: [Brookland] Scholarships For Ward 5 College-bound High School Seniors - Apply By June 3rd

EYA, the development team behind the Chancellor's Row development reached out to us to help spread the word about a scholarship program they are providing for Ward 5 high school seniors. The Scholarship will award $2,000 a year for four years (yes, that's $8,000) to eligible applicants. The deadline for the application is Monday June 3rd, sorry for the short notice. If someone could cross-post on Brookland Kids that would be great - I am not on that list. Here is the qualification criteria for eligible applicants:

- Be a DC Public High School/Charter School Senior
- Reside in Ward 5
- Be accepted to either a 2-year or 4-year college or university (by the application deadline)
- Have a GPA which ranks in the top 30% of their class
- Have demonstrated financial need (submit a copy of your FAFSA Student Aid Report with your application)

To apply get the EYA scholarship application form and more information here. http://www.eya.com/scholarship.pdf

Return the completed application by fax (202) 955-8084 or email to Bonami Johnson at eyascholars(at)cfncr(dot)org. For questions about the application process, please contact Bomani Johnson at the email address just listed or (202) 263-4770.

Best,
Shani on 12th
