I have submitted my name to run for Chairperson of the Ward 5 Democrats.  I see in this time and space, with all the economic development in our wonderful ward there are many voices excluded from the process. I also see the need for a more organized and efficient approach to communicating to the Ward 5 public the W5 Dems position on political issues, legislation, sr citizen issues and other matters.  There is a need for a new, wider vision for our Ward's involvement in all aspects in the process that affect our Ward and the City at-large.  I would not have a problem including the talented, insightful, diverse members of our community into the process.  That's all for now.  Respectfully ask for the voters support and vote for this position.  It's a new day with a need for respectfully new thought in leadership to have a respected and responsible place in the system.

Just when you thought elections were over, this is to announce the election of officers for the Ward 5 Democratic Committee is scheduled for the June 2013 Meeting.  The committee co-chairs are Mr. Fred Allen (fallen43@aol.com) and Mr. Mark Jones (mjones6452@aol.com).

 

All officer positions are open for nominations:

 

Chairperson

First Vice Chairperson

Second Vice Chairperson

Third Vice Chairperson

Treasurer

Financial Secretary

Recording Secretary

Assistant Recording Secretary

Corresponding Secretary
