Highly Effective Saturday Social Skills Program: Unstuck and On Target!

Registration for Spring 2014 Sessions Now Open!

The Unstuck and On Target!(c) Program helps highly intelligent, highly verbal children (ages 7-14) with social learning challenges, understand the complexities of social interactions and friendships. This 15-week intervention program, based on the nationally-distinguished, research-based curriculum is perfect for children who struggle to understand:

* How to Be a Friend
* Emotional Self-Identification
* Self-Advocacy
* Verbal and Non-verbal Social Cues
* How to be a Successful Member of a Group
* How to Be Flexible

Held on Saturday mornings, The Unstuck and On Target!(c) Program includes weekly therapeutic student groups and parent instructional groups to create a wrap-around intervention program that educates and supports the entire family. Parent sessions are led by experienced and trained teaching staff from Ivymount's Model Asperger Program, and will include direct instruction, student observation, round-table discussion and follow-up support. All student sessions are staffed by a team of professionals from The Ivymount School.

The Spring 2014 program begins on Saturday, January 18th and runs through May 17th. Priority is based on order of receipt of application as well as the candidate's fit/match with the group. We encourage you to register today! Applications are due December 31st! Ivymount Outreach Programs will notify parents of children's admission no later than January 10, 2014.

Tuition for The Unstuck and On Target! program is $2500. This can be paid in one payment prior to program commencement or arrangements for four monthly payments of $625 via credit card can be made. We do not accept any insurance at this time, however we encourage parents to check with their insurance provider regarding coverage and reimbursement.

The Unstuck and On Target! curriculum teaches social skills and self-regulation, and was developed in collaboration with mental health experts and teachers specializing in social learning and autism spectrum disorders. The program includes a strong occupational therapy/sensory integration component, and employs social cognition and self-regulation teaching strategies drawn from current research in the area.
