Subject: [dc_sped_resources] FW: DC Shares Durable Medical Equipment Surplus Inventory [1 Attachment]
DC Shares currently has a surplus of durable medical equipment such as manual wheelchairs, walkers , bath tub benches etc. that is available for District of Columbia residents with disabilities at no cost. Your income must be under $20,000. Please contact Devon Pettigrew for additional information at 202- 332-2596.
DC SHARES is a place where DC residents of all ages who are low-income, uninsured or underinsured can get used home medical equipment for free.
What is "used home medical equipment"?
It can be anything from a wheelchair, walker, cane, hospital bed, shower chair, bedside commodes and "other stuff" that has been donated by your neighbors, family, and friends to help those who can't afford to buy it.
No Insurance?
We'll help you get the equipment you need to let you be more independent and do your daily activities.
Do you have equipment that is not being used?
Donate it to DC SHARES!
How do I receive or donate equipment from DC SHARES?
Call (202) 332-2595 or email dcshares@verizon.net <mailto:dcshares@verizon.net> to set up an appointment to donate or pick up equipment at the DC Shares center located at 1301 Belmont St. NW, Suite 1D, Washington, DC 20009 (inside the Christopher Price House).
