Greetings Community Supporters:

On Monday, December 16, 2013 will hold our second food distribution event.  This month our parent sessions will focus on our Book-It Holiday Reading Challenge.  Prior to receiving 30 lbs. of food per student, families will sit with a Browne EC educator and review their student's MClass and/or Scholastic Reading Inventory reading reports.  In addition, each family will receive 5-10 reading conference questions (depending on the grade level, to monitor their student's comprehension), a reading log, DC library card information, and a book on their student's reading level.

We are seeking community volunteers to assist with food distribution and DCPS central office staff to assist with the reading report conferences.  If you are interested, please contact the main office at 202-671-6210, or visit our website at www.BrowneEC.org.

Thank you!

Respectfully,

Andre Samuels
