- This Saturday, January 11th there will be an Education Festival at the Convention Center from 9 to 5. Here is the web page http://www.dcedufest.org/. While the promotional literature seems to focus on charter schools, DCPS is participating. Please let me know if your school is going to be there.
- The Student Assignment Advisory process includes working groups that are going to delve into the details in particular neighborhoods. The high schools will be impacted significantly by this process. Please sign up for these working groups to make sure that there is a strong high school voice. Three Working Groups will vet policy scenarios being considered by the Advisory Committee and discuss how they might impact neighborhoods, schools and families within specific geographic areas of the city.
