[WardFive] Taft/Dwight Mosley Field

Dear Taft/Dwight Mosley Field Community,

As you may know, The Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) and Department of General Services (DGS) has Capital funding to renovate the existing Taft/Dwight Mosley field. To date we've held two (2) planning meetings with the community to ensure that the field is designed and renovated based on the needs of the community. The community includes not only the teams that play on the field but also residents that live in the community and may use the field.

Our project budget does not support all the amenities the community has requested, therefore, we have developed a survey that will help us better understand what are the top amenities the community would like as part of the project. The survey link is below.

Additionally, as we mentioned at the first Taft/Dwight Mosley field community meeting The DC Building Industry Association (DCBIA) annually donates time and material to a DPR project (site). DCBIA has chosen to renovate the playground and park area at Taft/Dwight Mosley as their annual donation/volunteer project. DPR/DGS has dedicated some funds towards playground equipment for this donation.

The equipment that's chosen for the new playground at Taft is amazing and offer many super fun play elements for the kids and the playground will be functional and safe. DCBIA is also doing a lot of other site work that the community will appreciate and use for many years to come. The survey is not related to the Playground/DCBIA project.

We do hope that you will attend and participate on the actual build day (September 27th), as well as encourage your neighbors to come out and support this great donation.
