[WardFive] Public Early Childhood Education 101: What you need to know

Are you a parent trying to navigate DC's education system? Are you interested in having your child start school at age three (3) or four (4) but you don't completely understand the public early childhood (PreK 3 or PreK 4) education offerings?

If the questions above sound familiar or apply to you and your family please join us, the Ward Five Council on Education, for our October meeting (on Tuesday, October 21st) which will be focused on helping you navigate and better understand early childhood education programs that are offered in DC Public Schools (DCPS) and public charter schools. We will have representatives from both DCPS and the DC Public Charter School Board (PCSB) in attendance to give an overview of their program offerings, and a representative from My School DC to discuss how to approach applying for the programs offered through the common school lottery. Most importantly, you'll have the opportunity to ask the question you've been waiting to ask! Details and link to RSVP listed below.

We hope that you will join us!

When: Tuesday, October 21, 2014

Where: Lamond-Riggs Library – 5401 South Dakota Ave. NE

Time: 6:30 – 8:30pm
