This is a FREE summer opportunity for rising 6th, 7th, and 8th graders at Browne EC. The information is below. A paper version of the application and informational flyer are attached. Please share with your networks and listservs.
DC Meets Washington @ Browne EC - DC Meets Washington is a FREE summer college and career exposure program for rising 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. Over the course of the three-week program, July 13 - 31, students will meet with local leaders from Engineering, IT, and the Hospitality career sectors, and participate in site visits in which they directly experience different professional and postsecondary opportunities. Registration is limited to 150 students and we encourage you to apply online to ensure they beat the rush! Contact Mr. Johnson with any questions via email at Ryan.Johnson@dc.gov.
About the Ward Five Council on Education
The Ward Five Council on Education is a 501(c)3 community organization dedicated to improving the quality of education in Ward 5 and citywide. The Council provides a forum for community stakeholders to share and resolve issues surrounding Ward 5 schools and works closely with the District of Columbia's education community to ensure that the quality of public schools – both traditional and charter – is exactly what Ward 5 students, parents, and the community at large deserves.
