- 1901 Michigan Ave. NE: Convert existing "warm shell" tenant space to a prepared food shop, aka Subway. The 1,244-square-foot restaurant will seat 18.
- 1400 L St. NW: Interior fit-out for a new fast food/deli that will seat 22.
- 455 Massachusetts Ave. NW: Permits issued to install signs on the front and back of this 250,000-square-foot Class A office building for Texas de Brazil, the churrascaria-style steakhouse. It is taking the 9,400-square-foot space formerly occupied by Buddha Bar. Texas de Brazil started h iring in April for its first D.C. location, slated to open this summer.
- 3707 Newark St. NW: Another sign permit, this time for the Wylie Wagg pet supply store opening May 27 at Cathedral Commons in Cleveland Park.
- 3800 Reservoir Road NW: Interior gut renovation and demolition of one wing of MedStar Georgetown University Hospital to create a new postpartum unit.
- 1925 14th St. NW: Tower crane incoming for Madison Investments' 56-unit Elysium Fourteen, the "highly exclusive apartment residences" located a block from the U Street Metro station. Work started in the fall.
- 1408 Montello Ave. NE: Single-family conversion to a two-family flat. The home will get a third-floor rear addition, in addition to interior renovations on the second floor.
- 521 Columbia Road NW: Another conversion from single-family to two-unit flat. This home will get a rear and third-story addition, plus new kitchens and bathrooms.
- 6104 29th St. NW: Construct a new single-family home with detached garage, terrace and covered porches in the front and the back.
