Hey,
Will you join me in supporting Colin Kaepernick’s protest of the national anthem?
Just like Tommie Smith and John Carlos giving the Black Power salute during the national anthem at the 1968 Olympics Kaepernick is demanding that America live up to its own ideals. We need to continue working to ensure that such brave stands aren't remembered as gestures, but as catalysts for positive change.
By refusing to stand during the national anthem, San Francisco 49ers’ quarterback Colin Kaepernick is making an important, bold rebuke of police violence against Black people.
Join me in supporting his protest!
