Dear Ward 5 ANC:
Happy Thanksgiving! You may be aware that the DC Department of Health is engaged in an effort to update the District's Health Systems Plan (HSP). John Snow, Inc. (JSI), a public health research and consulting firm, has been hired by the District to lead this process, which began in July and will culminate in Spring 2017.
As part of the process, JSI is organizing a series of Ward-specific Community Forums to capture in-depth information on the underlying health issues and leading determinants of health facing DC residents, particularly those facing the greatest disparities.
We are organizing forums in Wards 7/8 with Community of Hope, Bread for the City and Unity, Ward 5 with Providence Hospital, and Wards 1/4, hosted by Mary's Center and the Latin American Youth Center.
The Ward 5 forum is scheduled for Saturday, December 10th, at Providence Hospital (1150 Varnum Street NE) from 2:00-5:00 PM.
