As we get closer to the 100 days (Saturday) of the Trump Administration, we can only hope that this is not indicative of what is to come. The failures of this administration are notable on two fronts, first, on trying to implement some of the crazy things candidate Trump said he would do on the campaign trail, and second, on the very few accomplishments of the administration to help the working class.
Below are some events that you’ll find interesting. Please take note of Monday’s May 1 March (International Worker’s Day), and of the timely discussion the DC Latino Caucus is hosting with visiting Mexican Senator Armando Rios Piter on the US-Mexican relations. Senator Rios Piter will discuss Sanctuary Cities, the proposed border wall, and other related topics. See below for more details.

People’s Climate March

We will gather in front of the Capitol Building at 3rd and Jefferson SW at 11am, in contingents that spell out the values we share: justice, truth, democracy, faith and more. No matter what community you’re marching with, or where you’re coming from, there will be a spot for you. End of March Activities @ 3pm. We will reconvene at the Washington Monument grounds to connect and share the stories that brought us to DC. We’ll hear from the front line of the climate crisis and share solutions rooted in our own communities. There will be music and beautiful art from around the country that powerfully shows our local demands and visions.
