[WardFive] Re: [ward5] Who won the Presidential debate? What were the good and bad for each candidate from a purely analytical, unbiased point of view?

Here is another "unbiased" view.

Romney was very assertive about getting his point accross and this seems to be seen as "winning" the debate, but he continued to avoid questions by the moderator that would hang him and word pharases like not "increasing the deficit".  Not sure why Obama didn't reverse some of Romney's number expression.

a.  Why not answer the quustion about " Voucher"

b.  He was very nervous about Regulations on Banks -- how many times did he say regulation in the first 30 seconds - that says lie

c.  appeal Obama Care -- lie -- it doesn't cost more - certain people always have a choice but we must be take care of those who can't afford a choice.

d.  Romney has no plan.  Just I am gonna ........  So he is running on "CHANGE" as well.

e.  Working with democrats in Mass is because they were receptive to that quite unlike Republicans who wanted to make Obama fail from start - actually said so. So, quite unlike Massachusetts -- That's why Obama said that Democrats in Mass. should give teach Republicans in Congress how to Cooperate.

f.  False representative about unemployment - 43 months above 8% vs. truth which is Obama inherited a 10% unemployment and reduced it to 8.3% over the last 3 years.

g.  Romney was very misleading about 90 Billion ---- Here is a breakdown
h. The fact that he doesn't want to reduce taxes on the Rich says tons.  At what point is do they stop. Obama is not talking just about taxing Republicans making over $250,000 but also Democrats.  This goes back the the mentalith of to heck with the 48%

i.  Where else could have any President taking Office in Jan. 2009 have done.  With what the Bush leadership did over the 8 years after they STOLE an election with the assistance of his Brother Jeb, President Obama didn't have much choices.  Mind you, other than Health Care, President  Obama should have focussed on immigration more as no one is going to farm those prices and a lot of money is in the Hispanic and other communities who reside here "illegally" that is untaxed.

j.  Strange that Romney is complaining about China and outsourcing when Bain Capital has bought companies whose workforce was outsourced.

k. How about the $2 Billion that the Military hasn't requested as yet -- I am willing to bet there are contracts that are being promised.

l.  What about Romney's definition of small business.  While his 3% employs a lot of folks, they can't be considered small businesses.

I could continue, but let's be real when we talk about things.  Let's not confuse Romney's assertive attitude with being truthful and factual.  However, Romney did have a great showing and did have a few good responses that are very substantial - no question about it.  Create the Chart today at 1pm and we can discuss.

In closing, -- maybe Kenyan can hear what Romney said -- Small business is the key to America.  It is time to close the loopholes.  Don't expect a President to be as successful when the Republicans say that they want him to fail from the start.  Without doubt, President Obama should have zoned in more on the actual breakdowns of Romney's skewed #'s.

From an unbiased view, Romney was the clear winner tonight.  He
brought his A-game, looked and spoke presidential, and was able to
come up with specific examples off the top of his head to make his
point.  At several points, Obama had some trouble responding with
specifics to counter Romney's statements.

A CNN poll of debate watchers indicate they the debate made 35% want
to vote Romney, 18% Obama, 47% neither. 58% of that same poll group
say Romney appears to be the strongest leader.

Another poll of debate watchers indicates that now 57% believe Romney
would handle the economy better, vs. 41% that stated Obama.  When it
comes to healthcare, 52% believed Romney will do a better job, 47%
Obama.

CNN's "Fact Check" team is also covering the debate, and so far have
focused on jobs claims, finding that Obama's claim of creating 5
million jobs was false, and that the net gain is actually just 150k
jobs.  I'm sure we'll see more fact checking in the days to come.

Some perspective: It's rare that debates matter and end up actually
determining the election, and there are several debates to go.
