Re: cheat_training_group Re: No shuttle for cheat race

Some questions to ponder on your next trip out to Albright:
  • What's the story of that lonely tree with the flag sticking out of it at the top of the cliff on road left, as you leave the Sidling Hill area?
  • What's up with the guy who makes all those in-your-face signs at the not BP station outside of Cumberland? And who would want to buy land from this angry guy anyway?
  • Why are there so many dead and blighted trees on Negro Mountain? Is this spreading? Should I be concerned?
  • Why are there always cars parked beside the road on 26 S at 68? Is there some hidden cool spot under the highway that I don't know about?

The spreadsheet was set up before Ashley's announcement.  I think we will not need shuttle, except perhaps for the drivers of the LAKS and Calleva vehicles, unless we have more than 30 racers.  Fern

I am not sure where I fit into the spread sheet.  Please help.  I plan on finishing the race 1st. hahahaha.  I then plan on helping to do my part to make sure the keg is not to heavy for whomever may be transporting it from the take-out.  I would then like to make it back to the campground for a few minutes before I go to the post-race party.  
 
I do not have a vehicle that will make to the take-out.  I am more than willing to help with shuttle with someelse's car.  Please let me know where I fit into the spread sheet and let me know if I can help drive any vehicles. I was thinking the LAKS or Calleva shuttle.  If I have to drive from the take-out, I will only lighten the keg a little bit.

I can leave my car down at the take out, and get a ride back up with Munnell. My car doesn't mind getting scratches, dents, etc. (which will happen to the cars down at the take out). I will be driving up Friday AM.

We certainly need to think about not having all the cars at the bottom. 100 people could equal just 25 cars, if we all did this right. For me, I don't want my car at the bottom, so I'm willing to shuttle a group back to the top before the start.

We also need to find out if they are going to open the outfitter lot at the bottom for general parking. That will ease a lot of pressure on the parking. The major traffic issues on the road will be before the race --- after might even be better than usual.
