And you want "actual float bags". The basket ball and empty Getorade bottles used as flotation by one of the Youts last year did not go well with the organizers. No idea why??

Good!
The 58th Annual Potomac Downriver Race comes up this Saturday, 11 May, on a course you know VERY well --- Rocky Island to Sycamore.
Registration is from 9-10:30 at Great Falls Park MD. Racers start individually or in small groups, not the mass chaos...I mean...mass start of the Cheat Race. The race is followed by a free lunch and awards ceremony on the very exclusive Sycamore Island. :-) Young to old, kayaks and canoes, plastic to glass boats, , speedsters to just the rest of us --- it is a big open competition to celebrate the history of our great home river, the mighty Potomac!

P.S. Make certain that you bring your stern float bags --- organizers have been very picky on this point.
