Hello everyone,

 

Hello folks we are almost there, this Saturday we will be having the State of the Schools Community Summit.  We want to thank everyone who has been helping to get the word out through distributing flyers, making calls, sending emails and sharing it with others in general!  We look forward to seeing a great crowd of students, parents, teachers/school staff, and community members.  On Saturday we want to show that solidarity amongst these folks is getting stronger and we will continue the fight to preserve Public Education as true "choice" and right for DC families.  We will also use this space to continue developing the work we as a community have to do to make sure Public Education is around and strong for a very long time to come.  We will be joined by newly elected WTU (Washington Teachers Union) president Elizabeth Davis, who will speak on how working together across broad lines will help us to preserve Public Education in our city!

 

Childcare provided, there will also be a shuttle from the Benning Road Metro taking folks to the meeting location (pick-ups at 12:30, 12:45 and 1:00pm), if you need either or both of these services please let me know (202-234-9119 xt. 104)
