Good afternoon and Happy New Year!
I am thrilled to announce that DC Public Schools (DCPS) will participate in the DC Education Festival<http://www.dcedufest.org/>on Saturday, January 11th from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. at the Washington Convention Center (801 Mt. Vernon Place, NW). This is the first year that DCPS and the DC Public Charter School Board (DCPCSB) are coming together to showcase the public school options available to DC families across the city.
Discover the outstanding and varied education options for children at the 2014 DC Education Festival. Throughout the day, "meet and greet" with DCPS, DC public charter, and private school professionals, enjoy youth arts and cultural performances and science demonstrations, sample cutting-edge technology, browse the community market, participate in workshops, plus fun activities for the kids. Admission is free. The Festival takes place in downtown DC on Saturday, January 11, 2014 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, 3rd Floor Ballrooms.

Please note, the DC Education Festival will replace the DCPS Middle School and High School Fairs traditionally held each year that showcased our respective middle and high school options to families. If you or your constituents typically attend (or were planning to attend) these aforementioned events, please plan to attend the DC Education Festival instead.
With over 5000 people expected to attend, we look forward to showcasing DCPS education campuses, middle schools, high schools, and specialty schools. Please share the attached flier with your networks.
