[WardFive] Front Page of The Washington Post - Sunday, March 22, 2015 - Fauntroy's puzzling absence comes amid legal, financial issues

Friends,

Sunday's Washington Post ran an article on Rev. Walter Fauntroy's legal and financial issues and his bewildering absence somewhere in Dubai. The article also cites that he and his wife, who are both in their 80's filed bankruptcy and stand to lose their home. The article also reminds us of the great works of this Civil Rights Icon, our Congressman for 20 years and what he did for DC Home Rule and how the family could use the public's help.

I spoke this evening with the family's Attorney, Johnny Barnes who stated that on Wednesday, March 26 an article would be in the Washington Informer detailing how we can help.

I will send this information out to you once it is published. and ask that you share it with your family, friends, neighbors and every organization, group, and church so that our community can give back to someone who actively advocated and participated in the struggle for us to have civil rights, something that benefited us all.  Please know that any and all financial donations will be well received and appreciated.

WE NEED TO RAISE THIS MONEY!
