Subject: URGENT NOTICE.  Charles Hamilton Houston Summer Institute (CHH):  SEEKS REASONABLY-PRICED HOUSING FOR CLASS of 2016 Out-Of-State CHH SCHOLARS (For June and July)

Greetings CHH Faculty, Alumni and Friends,

I hope you are in good spirit and health. It's that time of year again.
The Charles Hamilton Houston Law School Preparatory Institute (CHH) is celebrating our 37th-year anniversary.  CHH offers pre-law students of color a rigorous seven (7) week introduction to the study of law.  Classes are held five evenings a week from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm., with a few Saturday classes.  The program is housed at the Georgetown University Law Center.

 Some of our student participants have been accepted to law school for the upcoming 2016 school year.  Some students have not yet applied and are intending to take the LSAT in the near future.  Because many of the applicants are out-of-state participants, finding summer living arrangements for 7 weeks is costly and challenging.  We need reasonably-priced housing options for our out-of-state students. CHH scholars are responsible for tuition and travel.  Consequently, high rent costs often prevent many students from coming to DC and participating in the Institute.

Please, we need your help!

If you have space in your home or rental property, or know someone willing and able to rent a room or an apartment to a CHH student, please let me know and forward their contact information to me.  Also, if you know someone needing and/or wanting a roommate to split the cost of rent for June and July, please forward that contact information or share my email with them.

Our CHH Orientation is mandatory and scheduled for Saturday, June 11, 2016 at 10:00 am.   Evening classes begin Monday, June 13, 2016.  Graduation this year will be held on Friday, July 29, 2016.

 Thank you for any and all assistance you can provide CHH to find and offer reasonable housing for our out-of-state students.
