Further Allison,
"What are the new vendors"?? is definitely not how you ask that question. Your entire approach was from a stink thought process and rude!! Why is that I have to teach this. It is like me teaching Tiffany Bridge how to treat a neighbor who just shovelled your snow!!
Seriously!
Well Allison,I LOVE IT WHEN FOLKS LIKE YOU LIKE TO EXPLAIN!!! My father used to say "the more you stir th KAKA, the more it STINKS"!!SOooooooooo, let's take another look at your email that you put forth!!Hazel,
Can you tell us how many vendors are at this farmer's market now? When I went a few weeks ago it was one farm stand and one art stand. What are the new vendors mentioned in the flyer?SO you get it.1. The fact that you said "NOW" when asking "how many vendors are at this farmer's market now" shows that your focus was not the Venors who are going to be at the event. The "NOW" changed the entire complexity of your "question". "NOW" sounds like that Imperial Approach like when CM CHEH got frustrated at Suliman Brown for not answering her questions over and over and over and over again. He was right by refusing to continue to answer the same stupid questions again like the answers were going to change.2. The fact that you were "dissappointed" the last time you went showed that you expected more and was trying to express that. WHICH YOU DID WITH YOUR INITIAL QUERRY!!! -- which is the point that everyone got and Mr. Peloquin very nicely pointed out.3. You SOUND CRAZY when you said "I figured I'm not the only one who went when it was quite small". Are you kidding me. How do you figure that you were the only one who went when it was small.
4. This 'new" approach is quite contrary to most all your other approaches that you have taken on issues on this listserv so unless you suddenly had a "Coming to Jesus" moment, I don't buy it and I am sure the rest of us get it.SO, allow me to tell you the approach - The fact that you have been there and knows that it is a small Market, then the approach would have been more exciting like - That is AWESOME Hazel. I am so looking forward to the new vendors that will be there ........You see Allison, this is no different than Linda Sun saying that the Mural on the side of my building was Ugly and then followed up with "I know what real art is".COME AGAIN WHEN YOU REALLY WANT TO BE PART OF OUR COMMUNITY!! We would love to have you be "part of"!Rob Ramson

Yet here I am and I've been to the market (have you?) and I'm vilified for asking questions. Since my question seemed very interesting to posters, let me clarify.
1. I want to know what vendors will be there. The flyer says 'new vendors'. That interests me.
2. I was disappointed by the number of vendors there last time, and thought Hazel could enlighten me on any new vendors since then as clearly stated on the flyer.
3. I figured I'm not the only one who went when it was quite small, and figured that if Hazel listed the new vendors on the listserv, it might spur other people to give it a second try as well.
I do not think that asking questions or posting on this listerv is racist (if it is, then you're all guilty.) Nor do I believe that expecting improvement of a small venture, over time, is racist, especially since the flyer itself lauded the improvement.
Not that anyone actually asked my opinion before jumping down my throat about my 'tone' and 'racism', but I think the farmer's market is a wonderful option for seniors and other community members those that lack mobility to go to Giant. And I hope that as it grows it will become an attraction for those outside of the neighborhood as well.
