If you live in the area around 20th and Newton up to Jackson between 20th and Rhode Island Ave, you've surely noticed a strange black pipe running down the sidewalk.
A rep from DC Water was at the ANC 5A meeting on Wednesday to discuss this and had a handout explaining what was going on (short story: it's a sewer bypass so they can fix a pipe underground)
I followed up with the rep at the meeting to get an electronic copy to share and it should be attached here.
The work should be finished sometime in October, about four weeks from when it began.
