Mark Plotkin, Natwar Gandhi and Eugene Kinlow headline
Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton's CBCF Forum on
Budget Autonomy: Critical Steps on the way to Statehood
Mark Plotkin, Natwar Gandhi and Eugene Kinlow will headline Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton's Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Forum on Budget Autonomy: Critical Steps on the way to Statehood on September 20, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. in the Walter Washington Convention Center. Pundent, official, activist—all three of this year's forum speakers will speak from his unique perspective about budget autonomy as the key to federal movement to make D.C. the 51st state of the Union.
Each of us has a role and function in this fight – from activists like Eugene Kinlow of DC Vote to Mark Plotkin, where commentary is a prime movement indicator and Natwar Gandhi whose testimony about the cost to the District of local budget oversight by Congress helped me to start to get my D.C. Budget Autonomy bill close to passage in little more than a year. Natwar will detail unusual progress made on budget autonomy, its chances and will devote time for audience feedback.
