0. Polluting -- another word is educating. Lots of light through the windows of the mind -- even got you and others using "cognitive dissonance", wrongly, but nevertheless -- glad it stuck and it is bothering you to the point that you further expose your cores. Don't worry, in the long run, it will help you and your children. I guarantee you that I have more actual friends from different cultures than you do - guaranteed.
1. The words were "you and the rest of your Klan" -- not the Klan. So, while they embrace some of the same qualities, THE Klu Klux Klan actually is like all "LEAD" and no Water!! By the Way, do you know that the KKK is very dense throughout the North East more so than the rest of the country?? Who knows who belongs to what organization.

4. Homophobe my A**. I am open to having that conversation anytime. I just call it as I see it. Just like a woman not liking men looking at them like a piece of "Meat", I don't like Gay men looking at me in that manner. However, I don't have a problem with anyone "sleeping" with who they want - as long as they are adults who are able to consent - preferably 21 and over.
So you know, I have always supported Marriage Equality (PUBLICALLY - not quietly). Since you asked, I don't really get why one of the male (in 2 men relationships) has to be a "wife" or one of the females (in a two woman relationship) have to be a "husband" to get that done. Seems to me to be contradictory as it is not just to fit the definition of marriage being that of a "man" to a "woman". Seems to me that it would be that definition of marriage would need to be changed and also Gays utilizing the words Husband and Husband relationship and Wife and Wife relation instead of "husband and wife" would be more fitting and relative to being true to being Gay. But glad you asked !!!
But go figure - you are too smart for me - I am a "homophobe" because you have offered some proof - or is it just because you say so --- really dude!! Glad that I don't validate my "being" on you or anyone else.
4. Lead the conversation -- no one said that I was leading it. But interesting how your mind works in Identifying Me as a Leader -- That Psychological aspect of the Brain is something. By the way, Can you think of anyone more qualified -- if so, please bring them -- I have been trained in highly Racist Environments in an Indo-Guyanese/Afro-Guyanese (in a very Imperial British Guyana), Highly Racist in Indian/African American-White environment (Texas in High School -- West PLANO - Rich West Plano in the Mid 80's), Very Racist White-Indian/African American (University of Md) and of course my beloved DC -- in my life experiences of Racism. I have also travelled from Canada to the Tip of South America (not by swimming AND not illegally, I must add) so culturally, I am fully exposed.
Also, I have seemed to get he full accreditation from African Americans by BOTH their support and their silence of agreement when it comes to deciphering things in this Racial environment we live in. I think as of recent as Yesterday by Commissioner Ransom as to my ability to detect Racism. Maybe you can re-read her post and then contact her for Validation of her credentials. Have that discussion with her and see what she says. But maybe you skimmed that too. Re-read and address her and let's see what she thinks.
But, I am Kool - there goes that K(ool) instead of a C(lan) again when I am making a Caribbean Point - it's the Calypso in me. Why don't you lead -- You are welcomed to do so - I will definitely redirect you if you miss a thing or two in the softest of tones so you don't feel intimidated or scared so you don't have to bring the "colloquialisms" out of your satchel. So you know, this is not a "leadership" position I want or approach that we will have. It is just a discussion where respect and being honest is all we need and the gates of denial are allowed to be lifted.
5. So the Cafe is a perfect "storm" in this and is the actual most recent "hanging" that has occurred. If it was about the cafe/money, I sure would have not "offended" so many possible customers like yourself. Think about that. How about it was a good sacrifice to get this conversation because there is no "OUT"/doubt that Racism was the Key on this and how these people tried to get the community riled up because of fear of what young Blacks bring. So, it has never been about me or I would have just stayed quiet and let it all bet brushed under the carpet like it usually is - even from folks like you who want to impress me with your "twang" or should I say "intimidated" by your "swag" in use of words. Hilarious.
6 Not everyone is a "Racist". But there has definitely racist things that have been said on this list serv other than about the Cafe. By the way, it is almost impossible for Black Folks to be racist as we are not the Oppressor in America. While we may easily pick up racist attitudes more than Whites, our identification is more instinctual because of the genetic mutation that has occurred from years exposure and experience in picking up on the actions and Code Words -- like Commissioner Ransom stated yesterday. We do have Blacks who are in denial of this also.
7. Linda Sun - when making the statements are incriminating enough - and I wasn't the one who initially said that it was a Racist Statement - it was Kebob33. You tell me what these statements mean - "this is not real Art", "I know what real Art is" and "My father entertained dignitaries from different countries" (sounds like "I have Black Friends" to me) and the best of all - "Rob - I didn't know that you were African American, I though you were a White Teenager" (translates, Rob you don't write sound like a Black Person (Like Blacks can't write), you write like a White Person but Childish). Maybe you can help us out about Linda Sun.
8. Because you never lived "west of the park" means WHAT?? -- maybe you didn't have the $$$ to move West of the Park like some of our folks who moved here for "diversity"!!! Don't BS me - that's quite possible!
9. So I am Loving enough to sing along and support John Feeley in Singing Carols to kids and trying to share Joy and this makes me a "Puppy". Interesting. Maybe you should participate next year and take that "leadership" role as well - I would be glad to give up my spot as I Can't really sing well. My Pleasure - "New Elf". So you know, I must be a real PUPPY for I do a lot of things that I don't normally do for kids ---- Thanks! I also do it for Seniors as well.
Let me share this as I am sharing - when you get to the having a mother of the person you are dating move in with you and having to carry her 200lb body up the steps at night because she couldn't make it up to bed, let me know. Furthermore, when you have to pick her up when she "sh*t all over herself in the middle of the Night (many nights) and put her in the tub and help bather her, HOLLA at me. When you take care of her being on bed rest for two years and having to move her from side to side to keep her from getting bed sores - you let me know. That's how AFRICAN AMERICAN I AM -- I have so many "African American" BLACK CARDS from so many qualified folks that you don't have enough days in your life to take them away.
10. As for fronting - maybe you should ask someone. They will let you know that I don't "front" about anything. You should come "Holla" at me and take a dance. Don't let the straight hair fool you - hope you translate it into "curls".

12. So, thanks again for the compliments. I have three cats, a dog and I feed the cats, the raccoon and her baby and the possum and her baby who visits my house every night. I have helped pick up a dead dog who had started to decay with my neighbor's son - who didn't even know me when he came to ask me - just because his mom told him what I do in the neighborhood and sent him over.
13. Maybe you can ask around the neighborhood and see how many folks get fed and I help out (either with food, finances, renovations) without profit. Maybe you can ask some of the Neighborhood Schools (Public and Charter) as well as My Soror Tiffany at Turkey Thicket who they call when they need some assistance. I Don't see your name popping up when anyone needs help -- all without asking for recognition or any public thanks - even though it is at my detriment financially.
Oh, don't forget to check all through Woodridge and Brookland Neighborhoods for years before the cafe even was a thought!! Delivering Sand isn't all that I do. Maybe you should ask who plowed 12th Street from Monroe to Michigan on both sides so folks can park even though the Cafe remained closed after opening just to serv Coffee and food to DC GOVT. Workers. Hell, I even had a "fundraiser" for Vincent Orange back in 2001 and never met him then or even spoke to the man for maybe 5 years after - telling you that I don't do things with my hands out for something.
Anything Else - BRO!! Next time you want to "HOLLA", use a Mega-phone - someone might actually hear you. Now everyone knows who wants to Rise UP.
