Subject: Beautification Day 2013: Volunteer with DC Public Schools! (Aug 24th)

Join DC Public Schools for the 2013 Beautification Day!

Beautification Day 2013 is just around the corner (August 24th). As a former volunteer, we would be honored if you joined us again in our efforts to spruce up our schools in preparation for the first day of school.

Beautification Day 2013: Register online now!

Link: http://dcps.dc.gov/DCPS/beautificationday

-          When? Saturday, August 24th, 9AM*-1PM (*note new start time)

-          What?  Join the school community to volunteer on various 'spruce up' projects such as planting flowers, painting, general cleaning and/or creating welcome back signs for students!

-          Where? When you sign up as a volunteer, you'll be able to select your school choice. We recommend you register as 'flexible' whenever possible to ensure all schools receive quality care.

-          Questions? Contact dcps.BeautificationDay@dc.gov or call (202) 719-6601.

Also, consider volunteering as a site manager for a school. Your experience as a former Beautification Day volunteer could be put to great use by helping to lead others in Beautification Day projects at a school.

Lastly, Beautification Day begins by spreading the word, so please inform members of your organizations and community of this great one day event.

We hope to see you this August!

Sincerely,

The Community Partnerships team
