[WardFive] DPW Suspends Trash/Recycling Thurs., Feb. 13

DPW Suspends Trash/Recycling Thurs., Feb. 13

The DC Department of Public Works announced today that trash and recycling will be suspended Thursday, February 13 because the overnight snowfall made collections dangerous to staff and property.  Residents whose trash and/or recycling are collected on Thursdays should hold onto these items until their next scheduled collection day.

DPW also will suspend delivery of new Supercans and recycling cans to residents whose trash and recycling are collected by DPW.  These deliveries will resume once conditions allow.

Parking Enforcement:  On Thursday, February 13, DPW will continue to ticket and tow vehicles parked along snow emergency routes until further notice.
