Neighbors,
This Thursday, April 25, Councilmember McDuffie's racial equity legislation, the Racial Equity Achieves Results Act, will have a hearing and you are invited to testify! The legislation operationalizes racial equity in the District by requiring the executive to design and implement a racial equity tool, beginning in fiscal year 2020. Further, it requires the Mayor to include racial equity-related performance measures in the development of an agency's annual performance plans and to require the Mayor to include an evaluation of the use of the racial equity tool in the annual performance accountability reports.
You must sign up to testify in advance by emailing or calling the Committee on Government Operations at governmentoperations@dccouncil.us or (202) 724-6663, by the close of business on Tuesday, April 23.
