Hello all,

 

We are still in the middle of identifying plaintiffs for our lawsuit to block school closures in our city.  If you know of any parents (legal guardians) who would be interested in being part of this lawsuit, please feel free to give them my contact information (daniel@empowerdc.org – 202 -234-9119 xt. 104).  I am especially looking for parents from the following schools: Choice Academy at Hamilton, Spingarn HS, Prospect Learning Center, Ron Brown Middle and MacFarland Middle, but also feel free to forward any parents from the 15 schools slated for closure.

 

 

Please note that there is still time to register for the upcoming DCPS oversight hearing.  This is a great opportunity for you to let city council know how DCPS performed this past year.  Details for registering and the dates and times of hearings are below:   To register to testify for either hearing, please contact Brendan Williams-Kief at 724-8061, or e-mail bwilliamskief@dccouncil.us Here are the details for the hearing:   Friday February 22nd – District of Columbia Public Schools- Starts at 10:00am in room 412 (All hearings take place at the John A.
