Re: [WardFive] July 4th Events

Hi Annette,
Just getting to your EM from this morning.  Youjust missed the Barracks Row parade on 8th St SE.  They are having food, etc after. Most CMS or probably all are now setting up in Ward 3 for the Palisades July 4th parade scheduled to start at 11am, but usually starts late due to CMs coming from the 8th St SE parade.  This parade starts at Reservior RD & McArthur Blvd, goes down to the Rec center which name I don't recall.  There is plenty food, etc, all politicans included Mayor are in the parade and at the rec center.  I don't have a car and couldn't get a ride so I'm not going.

Over where I live, there will be a holdiay event in the 1500 blk of Irving St NE starting at 3pm.  There will be food , games, etc with fireworks this evening.  Costs $10.00 for entry, food, etc.  I'm told always a get event.  You should have called me.

Subject: [WardFive] July 4th Events

Hi -

Gigi are there any events happening in the city being spear headed by any of the councilpersons?  Last year Mr. Orange sponsored an event on Pennsylvania Ave. in front of the Wilson Building.  I've missed a number of announcements so if you can fill us in  on the events it would be appreciated.

Thanks
Annette
