I would like to participate too but Mondays generally don't work for me. Is there any thought about meeting on an alternative day of the week?

I suggestion? I would like to call our discussions: The Unity Dialogs. It is positive and yet acknowledges our differences.
As you may know, I am an organizational psychologist and I knew going in, that this could be dangerous if not well managed. The implicit racial tension developing on the Ward 5 listserve seemed provide an opportunity to reach out. It was our intention to open a dialog in a safe space so that all could feel free to speak their minds without fear of open hostility. I have to bow to Rob Ramson for his unflinchingly and often painful efforts to recognize and pointedly uncover the disconnect between many of our residents.
We should, I believe, have one more such open dialog (to be inclusive) and not to have the constant need to revisit past discussions. So, if we met on the 15th, monday next, we could pick up those like Anita Bond, Jeff, etc and others who expressed an interest. Once we have a consensus, I believe we should employ a process consultant ... one who is NOT involved in the discussion but who keeps the group on point and moderates.
As we progress and if a consensus begins to develop, it would be good have a focus of our efforts. A community development project that would provide a positive beneficial example of alignment and empowerment such experiences can and should produce.
