Thank you all for participating in Cheat Training this year. I hope you feel strong and ready for this season, whether you enter the race, take on some creeks, or paddle the Potomac with more confidence than ever!
Randy and Chessa Lutter are hosting our annual Post Cheat PotLuck celebration on Saturday, May 9th, beginning at 6 pm. They live at 5024 Newport Ave, Bethesda, MD, 20816, off Massachusetts Ave, near Mass and Western. This is a 15 minute walk from Friendship Heights. There is some parking in the driveway, additional parking can be found at Westbrook Elementary School, about a 5 minute walk. You can park in the lot behind the school.
Randy and Chessa will have a gas and a charcoal grill as well as ice and coolers for whatever items we want to cook or chill. Please let me know what you plan to bring, we will need things in the major categories of meat, veggie, salads, desserts, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, appetizers, and paper/plastic products.
This is always a fun way to end Cheat season and make plans with our new paddling buddies. SOs and parents are welcome!
We would love to have feedback on your Cheat Training experience. You can email Tom and I or your instructors directly. Also, if you want to pass on the love to the public, we appreciate online reviews. We use Yelp, Google, Facebook, Four Square.
Finally, we will start using this list serve for Upper Yough Training right after Cheat Fest. At the bottom of every list-serve message is a way to adjust your settings or unsubscribe. Upper Yough Training starts next Monday 5/4 or Wednesday 5/6. A couple of spaces are left in the program.
