[WardFive] Re: [ward5] Councilmember McDuffie Invites You To The Ward 5 Holiday Party

My dearest Eric,

1.  While I admit that I and probably most of the District Residents are in a "Learning Curve".  The reason for this is that we are being forced to "Learn" because our interests in the City are being stolen, sold away and priorities as well as Schools/education/residents are being totally violated.  Furthermore, the major contributing factor to the overall issues at hand is that many of those who have been involved longer are using the information for personal gain, abusing the information and so often totally disrespectful of the community and our input.

Thanks for ASKING why there is such interest/involvement for the less "learned"!!  I am absolutely sure that I (and probably many others) am quite capable of handling the "learning curve" without causing much harm.

2.  The majority of members giving updates in their emails are different from;

a.  Identifying why they are producing this legislation in the first place -- let us know who is suggesting this and why.
b.  Bringing the "legislation" out to the community to have input and discuss the pros and cons -- as
     1.  we don't trust the CMs to do it on their own as they have not earned that trust -- and have acted in a manner that they cannot be trusted at one point or another.
     2.  It is quite obvious that they are almost incapable of putting together legislation without holes
     3.  They are known to pass legislation that is self serving by funding folks who will in turn "fund" their political/personal aspirations
     4.  Most important -- they are here to serve and how better to serve other than get the input of the THOUSANDS of willing and capable minds --- who by the way doesn't want to take off from work to come down to "testify"/have input.

As you see, amongst all that "trash" that you talk, it spurs thought of how I can help make the system work much better from my house or the Building on 12th Street.  How about that for teamwork.

3.  As to me wanting to fuss or complain -- I guess that you can say that if you want to keep avoiding that some of us who have actually DONE something in life, experienced LIFE, made more MISTAKES in life, managed MORE people than most others in life, more DIVERSE than you, done more GENTRIFICATION than most, etc. might have some amazing amount of knowledge under my toe nail that you and others may gain from.

Heck, and if you help implement my suggestions when you are not "lobbying", we will all benefit of course since the record says that I only work it out at my house and the building on 12th Street.

I think that I am going to continue to "fuss and complain".  Maybe they might hear and utilize the Former Trash Transfer on Benning Road to be utilized for the Bus Parking and the Trolley Barn.  As a Matter of fact, I am not sure how big that lot is but I am willing to bet that we can relocate the METRO-BUS BARN from 14th Street N.W. to that location as well.   If the space is available, I don't thing anyone will argue.  The only thing thing that Ddot will have to figure out is some travel patterns in that location -- Give Bellany some work to do that won't affect us.

Well, there you go, all in one sweep.  If it works, I would have solved three of our major issues and brought some harmony to our communities.  Imagine if Kenyan had me on around him as his "fly on the wall" listening to the rest of the developers (I mean legislation) coming through -- think about how much my input would benefit the community.

Now, is there anything else that I can help Clarify or any other problem that you would like worked out or another corner for you to put yourself into.  Just let me know as I am willing to oblige.

Not bad for someone whose "track record" shows little outside of home and 12th St.  Did I help you out enough??  Just bring the adoption papers over so that I can sign them!!!

I am not sure if it is

Professor Dr. Ramson or Dr. Professor Ramson,
PHD in Philosophy and Urban Political Development.

So, what I don't get from you is that you are on a "learning Curve as well.  While I may not know some specific procedural regulations or "Federal Laws", what I do know and is innate to a level of experience and management, creation, designing, sequence, thought correlation, etc. you can't even begin to digest -- it is just too much.

One thing for sure, I am willing to bet that I have been able to change more lives personally than you would know about, I have given much more than you can imagine, taken risks just so that I could get to the point of being able to serve my community and kids with my abilities -- and it has been in writing/known to many who know me since I was 26 and has now bubbled to the surface -- even though I am not financially able to do it.

So, without being harsh, I am willing to stand in front of any 100 people you choose from this list serv and go through each email that has transpired by you and I on this listserv and ask which ones are most logical, consistant, ethical, compassionate, loving, from the heart!!!  Your Choice of folks -- my only condition is that they place their hand on their Spiritual Book and swear their health on it -- and they can all be your friends and all who dislike me.

So you understand -- the procedural things that I have to learn, those are all listed somewhere and could be picked up quickly.  How I think/process is not listed in books that you can pick up quickly.  It is a processs that seeps into ones soul.

Have you ever wondered how/why I think the way that I do and I am not AFRICAN AMERICAN ?-- which is also consistant with my actions.  Find me another NON African American who has this Brain and I will give you 1000.00 (which I don't have to give).  It took 43 years -- and with so many other things, you can't match my thought process.  When you have 25 and 35 year old men refer to you as MR. Eric you let me know.  I am Mr. ROB for a reason -- not Mr. Ramson but Mr. ROB!!  Honestly, if you were my son, I would be embarassed about you if you represented me the way that you represent yourself with your thought process and what you say on this listserv.

KPW,

Rob is also on a learning curve as well. As clearly stated in my previous email the majority of the members give community and legislative updates in their emails. He just wants to fuss and complain.

McDuffie and his office are still on a learning curve and are trying.  This is coming from somebody that didn't support him,  but is happy to see him doing all right as our councilmember.

Agreed -- a party is also nice - especially during the holidays -- just would like to see the Send Button used equally for other things -- that's all.

Rob
On the positive side, I am glad that the party is in the ward and that there will be free parking.  This sounds like a different place in Gallaudet than the usual conference center, which is a great place.   A little adventure is nice.

Eric,

This is what I am talking about.  The same energy it takes to push the send button could be used to send out updates on what is actually transpiring within those walls of the Wilson Bldg.  Why do we have to go research anything or play detective but be pacified with this "Party Announcement".  Like I said -- stop sending "Weather" announcements!!!

Here is a Party Announcement -- ANNOUNCE HAVING A REAL DISCUSSION AND PROBLEM SOLVING/PLANNING SESSIONS FOR THE EDUCATION CRISIS and the rest of the important issues we are being faced with.
