Hello all,

Wanted to let you know some news about "The Education Town Hall" on We
Act Radio, 1480 AM, www.WeActRadio.com, Thursday at 11 a.m.

1) After serving as a guest on the show several times, I am now working
with Thomas Byrd on preparing content for the program. I am delighted to
be working with Thomas and We Act.

2) The Education Town Hall will be adding some brief news items to each
show, along with discussion. Last week's inaugural item spoke briefly
about DC following the advice of Alvarez & Marsal, consultants whose
advice to St. Louis Public Schools failed to stabilize those schools.

3) That piece and additional resources are now posted on The Education
Town Hall's new blog -- http://WeActEd.wordpress.com -- along with show
archives. It is designed to extend the discussion beyond the radio.

4) The next show, 12/20, will focus on "the achievement gap," approaches
to addressing it in general, and whether/how DC is making any real
