(Washington, DC) - The DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) invites everyone to come out and enjoy a host of Thanksgiving events, activities, programs and celebrations at various recreation and community centers throughout the District of Columbia.

Patrons can participate in Thanksgiving Day dinners, banquets, fall festival tournaments, roller skating, moonlight breakfasts, feed-the-homeless programs, holiday treats and more. Select community and recreation centers have chosen to celebrate this "season of giving" by serving as collection sites for coat drives or canned/non-perishable food drives.

Throughout the year, DPR offers an exciting variety of programs, classes, and special events. Listed below are a few of  the many activities offered this month by DPR.  For more information on these, or other events, visit any DPR center or DPR's Events Calendar.
