We have several great items and guests on our agenda, so we hope that you will join us and be a part of the conversation.

Don't miss:

About the Ward Five Council on Education (W5COE):
The Ward Five Council on Education (W5COE) is a 501(c)3 organization founded in 1989, dedicated to improving the quality of education in Ward 5 Schools in the northeast quadrant of Washington, DC.

Since its inception, the Ward Five Council on Education has been a stable force in improving education in Ward 5 through the hard work of its members and volunteers. Our founding members, including Paul Washington, Clyde B. Richardson and Angie King Corley, inspired other Ward 5 citizens to come together to support our schools.

The Council provides a forum for parents, citizens, students, educators, elected officials and other stakeholders to share their views and resolve issues surrounding our schools. We work closely with the District of Columbia Public Schools, the Office of the State Superintendent of Schools, the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Education, and other relevant education organizations, to ensure the quality of traditional and charter schools in Ward 5.

The W5COE also serves as an outreach platform for our Ward 5 Councilmember and Ward 5 State School Board Representative to keep the public current on education issues.
