[WardFive] New Public Charter Application Public Engagement

The DC Public Charter School Board received five applications for new public charter schools in the Spring 2015 application cycle. The proposed schools range in programs; grades served, and ward locations. The applications can be found now on PCSB's website. 

PCSB is accepting public comment on these new applicants.  Individuals wishing to offer public comment can do so in five ways:


  1. Testify in person at PCSB's public hearing on new applications on Monday, April 20, 2015 from 6PM-7:30PM at Paul PCS, 5800 8th Street NW, Washington, DC 20011.  Individuals wishing to testify are encouraged, but not required, to sign up in advance by e-mailing public.comment@dcpcsb.org

  2. Participate in PCSB's first-ever "Twitter Town Hall" on the new applications on Wednesday, April 8 from 5:30-6:30, using the hashtag #AskPCSB and tweeting @dcpcsb

  3. Submit a comment via email with the name of the school they wish to offer comment on in the subject line to public.comment@dcpcsb.org

  4. Post mail: Attn: Public Comment, DC Public Charter School Board, 3333 14th Street NW, Suite 210, Washington, DC 20010.

  5. Hand delivery to the same address as above.
