I like Howard and Todd's approach of looking at what is positive with the change.  The alternative is no Dickerson.  There are more 'furthermore's' than I'm able to go through here...  I appreciate that it is NRG management that's defining the terms where they are comfortable in letting us on their property.  At this point, I'm grateful NRG's turned around to want to foster a better relationship with us by keeping their gate open to the greater kayaking community.  Dickerson is a venerable kayak institution in our area. I'm thankful to PWRC which created it years ago, and has continued to use and maintain it as a training course for slalom racing.   This has made it possible to have challenging water, a relatively short and pleasant drive from home, and still have time left in my day.
