That shameful comment was in extremely poor taste. I find it offensive when people find humor in the tragic and violent death of a fellow human being. I don't know the deceased person but I hope I don't see any more of this kind of "joke" on these list serves.

Man found dead inside Northeast D.C. home
A man was found fatally shot Thursday afternoon inside a home in Northeast, and D.C. police are investigating the death as a homicide, officials said.
The man had been shot in the back of the head and was pronounced dead at the home, located in the 5100 block of 7th Street Northeast, according to Metropolitan Police Department spokesman Officer Araz Alali. Officers were called to the home around 1 p.m. for a report of an unconscious person and preliminarily called the death a homicide, Cmdr. George Kucik said at the scene.
Officers filed in and out of the single-family home where the man's body remained Thursday afternoon and talked with neighbors in the street. A crying woman — who neighbors said was the person who found the man's body — was escorted away from the home and into a police car.
Police had not publicly identified the man Thursday and had no suspect description or motive early in the investigation.
Neighbors described the area, located a short distance from both the Fort Totten Metro and the Lamond Riggs Library, as a community with many longtime residents who look out for one another. Over the last 10 years, an influx of new residents has brought noticeable crime and nuisance issues with them, but many of the now-elderly homeowners banded together to address those problems and even run out a few bad apples, said Ted Washington, who grew up in the neighborhood.
"These people won't let that happen," said Mr. Washington, who has since moved away but happened to be back visiting his childhood home where his mother still lives when police arrived on the scene. "When I see stuff like this, it makes me think they are losing."
