Fort Totten Square Construction Job Fair, March 23rd

Fort Totten Square, a mixed-use project currently under construction at 300 Riggs Road, NE is seeking construction workers with specific skills at their upcoming job fair on Saturday, March 23rd.  The job fair will take place on the corner of Riggs Road and 3rd Street, NE from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm.  The anticipated trades that will be at the fair include: mechanical, electrical, plumbing, concrete, rough carpentry, masonry and roofing/waterproofing.                   

Participants are encouraged to bring a resume or other documentation of work experience.

DPW provides Free Repair Service to Resident Trash Cans

The Department of Public Works (DPW) provides a free service to repair broken trash cans handle and lids.  To request the service, please call 311.

DC DMV Reschedules Opening of Rhode Island Service Center, April 2nd

The District of Columbia Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) has rescheduled the opening of its Rhode Island Service Center to Tuesday, April 2nd.  The service center is located in Rhode Island Row at 2350 Washington Place, NE, Suite 112N.  

With the new opening date for the Rhode Island Service Center, the Temporary C Street Service Center located at 301 C Street, NW will now close on Friday, March 22nd.  Adjudication Services, which is in the same building as the Temporary C Street Service Center, will remain open.
