Hello Ward 5!
Yesterday's meeting at Turkey Thicket regarding the pending plans for Turkey Thicket and Brookland Middle was very well attended. We are grateful toe Councilmember McDuffie for his willingness to step up and work with the community regarding this matter. One thing that we do know after yesterday's meeting is that co-location of the buildings (meaning in one large facility) is now off the table. Now on to the next steps - letting our voices be heard in making the final decision.
During the meeting yesterday we were shown 3 stand-alone options - please find those options and DGS contact information below. Call and email...let your feedback be known.
