Great Falls Park (VA) is  hosting National Get Outdoor Day (GO DAY) on June 13th, 2015

We still have openings for the afternoon shift for PPVC members for the National Get Outdoor Day event at Great Falls Park, VA Saturday June 13 from 1:00 - 4:00.Franice can meet you and escort you into the park for the afternoon shift through the back gate.  Let us know if you are available for this so we can make arrangements to bring you in that way.

Please bring your kayak and safety equipment to show/explain to the visitors.  This is a great way to promote the sport, recruit new members and share the river safety message with the visitors.

 Great Falls Park is excited to host National Get Outdoor Day (GO DAY) on June 13th, 2015.  We would love some members of PPVC to come help out wit this event.

 Duties:  Explain to visitors about kayaking on the river.   Bring a kayak and equipment for kids and adults to sample.  We will provide a tent, table and chairs.   

The event is from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm.  If we can get two volunteers to split two shift, that would be great.  Shift one 10:00 am - 1:00 pm and 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm.  If you are interested and available, please let me know  

There will be vendors who share the same interest and mission as the National Park Service. Please see the attached a flyer and help spread the word.
