[WardFive] Re: [ward5] Re: Announcement: DC Streetcar Public Meeting on November 27, 2012 at the DOES Building

Aaron,

I don't care if it came out a year ago, they send out tons of redundant messages / other notices -- why not this??

Most important, you can't send out a final public meeting and then make this statement in the very next sentence -- The purpose of this meeting is to provide an update on study findings and solicit input from the community.
It goes to the intent which will definitely overflows into their attitude of posting notices -- no different than the Crummel Bus Parking with involvement from community and the same with 901 Monroe -- ABUSE and CORRUPTION.

Maybe this would be one of the notices that Kenyan's office would be circulating if he wasn't tucked under the Mayor and many of his White voters on this -- all at the expense of the rest of us.  Like I said, it is strange that the Kaya/Mayor doesn't want to "subsidize" EDUCATION but doesn't have a problem Subsidizing this extra mode of transportation.  Now that's driving on 22's and living in an apartment!!!

It doesn't matter, like I always say, the man/woman upstairs doesn't own pajamas -- eyes wide open 24/7.

The notice for the attendance of the street car project has been out to the community for over Two weeks. Sounds like you need need social network training.

This is real short notice ...like tomorrow. This last minute invitation makes me believe it is all a charade and a farce. You can't really be interested in what the community thinks. Otherwise, community members would have been represented on the task force.

What I would like to know is has the City identified where it plans to get the 2.5 billion necessary for building the trolley? Otherwise, I do not think the City should be able to move forward.

At this meeting DDOT will present the preliminary findings of the technical work that has been performed as well as present the constraints and opportunities of each alternative.  Findings from this study will inform any future environmental work related to the study area.

The meeting will be structured to allow for 30 minutes of materials review and individual discussion with team members prior to a 30-minute presentation.  A one-hour question and answer session will follow the conclusion of the presentation in an open house style and will offer an opportunity for participants to provide additional input at each station.
