The Chancellor stated on several occasions in her testimony to City Council that she wants and is will to hear from the community regarding our ideas on the DCPS proposed school closures and consolidations. DCPS set up a site, http://www.engagedcps.org/dcps-consolidation-and-reorganization-proposal, in order for us to so...let them hear from us! Using this site is a very simple process, you will have to register, your comments do not have to be long but let DCPS hear from us!

Also, we hope that you all will come out to the meeting that the Chancellor and DCPS is having on this Thursday, November 29th, from 6-8 at McKinley Tech. At this meeting the Chancellor will present her plan, specific to Ward 5, and will also be looking to hear directly from our community. So, let's be there and let our voices be heard!
Lets all do our part in keeping our part in not only keeping our Ward 5 neighborhood schools open but in charging DCPS with ensuring that our schools are the high quality that our students deserve!
