Forum on Planned DCPS School Closures for Ward 5 - Tuesday, November 20th

The Ward Five Council on Education will hold its monthly meeting on Tuesday, November 20th from 6:30-8:00pm at the Lamond-Riggs Library (5401 South Dakota Ave. NE).

This month's meeting will be devoted to the recently announced school closures.

 

Schools slated to be closed in Ward 5 include:

Mamie D. Lee (students to River Terrace)
CHOICE at Hamilton (students to Cardozo High)
Marshall ES (students to Langdon EC)
Spingarn HS (students to Eastern, Dunbar and Woodson)
Spingarn STAY (students to Ballou STAY and Roosevelt STAY)

Our special guest for this month will be our Ward 5 Councilmember Kenyan McDuffie.

We hope that all community stakeholders, students, parents, and educators will attend. We look forward to having an open and honest discussion that will allow us to develop a comprehensive plan that is best for the Ward 5 community and our public schools.
