Subject: FW: The CBCF and the AFT presents a Town Hall on Diversifying the Nation's Teacher Workforce
To:
Friends and Colleagues,
I am energized to invite you to a Town hall on "Diversifying the Nation's Teacher Workforce". We all know the stats 17 percent of public school students are African American. But only 7 percent of their teachers are African American and of that less than 2 percent of teachers are African American males. Please join us as we start the dialogue on creating solutions pertaining this issue and other educational issues affecting African-American students.
I understand that this event is in the middle of the week but we would love to have a packed house. Please send out to your networks.
Thanks LaToia
