In accordance with the D.C. Home Rule Charter, the D.C. Democratic State Committee (DCDSC) Anita Bonds will fill the vacancy left by Phil M. She will be appointed as interim At-Large Councilmember until a special District-wide election is held by the D.C. Board of Elections.
