I also paddled a stretch of the Bhote Kosi in Nepal back in Spring of '99 before the revolution - the higher you go the creekier it gets - until it flows into the Sun Kosi which is kind of like the Lower Yough - the section I paddled was probably comparable to the Middle Fork into the Tygart in terms of difficulty but a much different landscape. Check it out if you are heading to Nepal!
There are a lot of kayaking opportunities in Nepal and it is easy to set up trips in Kathmandu.
Bhutan is supposed to have some great paddling also with some natural hot springs.
