Dear District Education Stakeholder:

 

As you know, my commitment to improving public education for all District children and families began well before I became Mayor and continues to this day.  We have made great progress in our work to build a world class education system and we remain on the cutting edge of education reform. But we are now at a pivotal moment in this trajectory – a moment that calls for a renewed sense of energy and focus. For this reason, I am eager to share my vision for the next phase of education reform in the District.

 

Please join me next Thursday, June 20, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Savoy Elementary School (2400 Shannon Place, SE) for an important address on public education. I look forward to sharing my vision for how we will build on the solid foundation of our work to-date and take our work to the next level on behalf of all District children and families.
